Community & Social Justice

Stronger families, stronger communities.

Access to justice shouldn’t depend on who you know or how familiar you are with the legal system. Rakesh Law is committed to fairness, clear information and supporting the communities it serves.

Our commitment

The law affects every family, yet many people only meet it at the most difficult moments of their lives. Rakesh believes everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, to understand their rights and to have a fair chance to be heard, whatever their background, income or first language.

As a neighborhood practice in South Ozone Park, Queens, we see how legal problems ripple through families and communities. Strong families make strong communities, and good legal information is one of the simplest ways to help.

What this means in practice

  • Access to justice

Helping people understand their rights and options, and pointing them to free or low-cost help when that is the better fit.

  • Plain-language information

Guides and answers written for real people, not lawyers. Start with our Resources page.

  • Respect for every client

Every person who contacts the office is treated with courtesy, patience and respect.

  • Community education

Talking with local groups about wills, family law and planning ahead, so families can make informed decisions.
